This experiment takes place in a cluster development project initiated by IL&FS and the State of Tripura (India). It is about meeting the craftsmen and craftswomen and, after having watched them work, exploring new applications for their skills.
The experimental armchair is composed of a bamboo structure that holds two cotton padded cushions. These elements are then wrapped into a woven mat, tensioned by side strings. The tension can then easily be adjusted on the sides.
The sleeve is made out of "sheetal patti", a localy grown herb, known fot its natural refreshing and healing properties.

Basketry experiments were designed with the artisan weavers, during a one week workshop.
